Phase 1 Policy — This policy governs the current pilot version of Home Distributor and may be updated as the service expands. Material changes will require renewed acceptance where appropriate.

Eligibility

An applicant must be at least 18 years old, must control the storage location declared in the application, and must provide accurate information.

Approval and activation are separate decisions. 51K may approve an application and still decline to activate the location. Activation does not guarantee assignments, task volume, or income.

Independent service relationship

A Home Distributor is not an employee of 51K. The distributor decides whether to accept or decline each fixed task offer.

The distributor is responsible for personal tax reporting, insurance, and operating expenses. Nothing in this policy is intended to override applicable employment, tax, or consumer law.

Storage responsibility

Keep entrusted goods secure, dry, organized, and protected. Maintain accurate records of what is stored and where it is held.

Report damage, loss, contamination, or access problems promptly. Do not move goods to an unapproved location without approval. Maintain reasonable fire, theft, and access safety.

Pickup and delivery

Follow the assignment instructions. Confirm identity and completion through the approved Home Distributor workflow. Do not disclose customer or merchant information. Do not change customer charges on your own. Do not subcontract a task without approval.

When a vehicle is used, follow traffic, licensing, and vehicle-safety requirements that apply to that trip.

Compensation and fees

Local pickup handoff is CAD $8. Storage plus the first item is CAD $12, and each additional item is CAD $2. Local delivery within 10 km is CAD $25. Additional distance is CAD $1.25 per kilometre. A bulky-item surcharge is CAD $15–CAD $35. A same-day surcharge is CAD $10–CAD $20.

51K charges 15% of distributor service earnings. The fee is not a commission on the product sale price. Example: CAD $25 service earning − CAD $3.75 platform fee = CAD $21.25 estimated distributor payout.

Rates may depend on the task and the final agreement. Surcharges require approval. There is no guaranteed income. A confirmed completion starts a seven-day dispute hold, and payouts are planned weekly after that hold. Phase 1 payout may require manual processing. Customer delivery fees are separate from distributor compensation. Phase 1 does not send payouts automatically.

Insurance and permits

The distributor must provide accurate insurance information. 51K may require proof before activation. The distributor remains responsible for any licence, permit, vehicle coverage, and insurance that the law requires for the service they offer.

This policy does not set a fixed mandatory coverage amount.

Prohibited items

The distributor must follow the Home Distributor Prohibited Items policy. Items that policy forbids must not be stored, handed off, or delivered.

Suspension and termination

51K may suspend or end participation for inaccurate application information, unsafe storage, repeated failure to respond, an unauthorized address change, prohibited items, fraud, a privacy violation, damage, loss, misconduct, or another legal or policy violation.

To ask for an internal review, email info@51group.ca with the application reference. That review is not a formal legal appeal and does not remove rights available under applicable law.

Disputes

A seven-day hold starts after confirmed completion. The distributor must provide evidence promptly when a dispute is opened. 51K may pause a manual payout while the review is open. A review decision does not remove statutory rights.

Policy acceptance

Submitting an application records the account UID, application ID, policy version home-distributor-phase-1-v1, the acceptance time, the names of the accepted policies, and limited request metadata. 51K does not ask for a drawn signature in Phase 1.

A later material change to this policy can require the applicant to accept the new version before continuing.
